About Chester House wins Through

"We didn't ask to be treated as inferiors just because we're day girls!" Rita complained, putting her finger on the real sore spot. Alison, head girl of Chester, the day girls' House, decided that something would have to be done - much of the boarders' resentment was due to the evening freedom abused by some of the day girls. An unpopular decision was arrived at and the hitherto subdued rivalry between the day girls and the boarders flared into open hostility. The rest of the school held its breath and watched and waited - what would be the outcome?
