The last completed novel by Jane Austen, *Persuasion* is perhaps one of the most literary of her works. The plot follows 27-year-old Anne Elliot, one of Austen’s few adult heroines, in her life full of the ups and downs. Follow Anne’s adventures as she deals with a vain, unreasonable father, love lost and found, and as she learns how people can change so much over time and still remain the same. Elegant, but also bittersweet, *Persuasion* has all the ingredients that makes it a pleasure to read and satisfies the more practical readers among us.
